Woman injured after drive-by shooting in Niceville

A woman is in the hospital after a drive-by shooting in Niceville early Friday morning.

According to the Niceville Police Department, they received a call at around 1:30 a.m. of a woman who was shot in the stomach. They say she appeared to be shot in a drive-by shooting on State Road 20 near the Regions Bank on John Sims Parkway.

The suspect's vehicle is described as being a gray Sedan with black rims. The woman was able to stop her car before she was taken to Fort Walton Medical Center.

She is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The motive is unknown as well as how many people were in the suspect's car.
