Woman found dead in Panama City Marina identified

Panama City Police has released the name of the woman found dead in the marina Tuesday.

Police say Cathy Almond, 69, of Panama City, was found in the water by fishermen. Police say at this time her death does not look suspicious.

Panama City police have released more information about the body found at a local marina.

Tuesday, Panama City Police responded to the marina area behind Panama City Hall at approximately 4:20 p.m. in reference to a deceased person.

Police say fishermen found the body of a white woman appearing to be in her mid-60s at the Panama City Marina Tuesday.

At this time, police say this death does not look suspicious, but the investigation is still in the early stages.

Police have identified the woman but cannot release her identity until family has been notified.
