SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL (WJHG/WECP) Count Arnold among the area teams still working, with a state playoff match ahead.

And these Marlins having to do a little extra traveling in advance of their state opener at Wakulla Wednesday.

Arnold High School still a massive staging area, so no chance to practice there.

After practicing a few times on the black top outside a local church a few times, Monday night the team finding a nicer environment to work, at Emerald Coast Middle School in South Walton.

The mood there exuberant and coach tells me the girls have been great through trying times.

"I'm so proud of them, they've gone through all this, this is the first time they've been through a major hurricane in their life. And I think I'm more proud of the fact that they were so willing to give back. They were literally been out every single day volunteering somewhere. Some of them even coming from Destin, making the two hour commute with traffic. And the fact that volleyball wasn't their first concern. Now that we're back in here, they've kind of been able to make that switch and it's kind of release for us at this point."

The coach says one of the team's players had her house destroyed in the storm. That player told her each one of her teammates reached out to her offering a place to live and any other kind of help she might need!

Also playoff bound, Mosley which hosts Suwannee Wednesday night at 7 at South Walton's gym.
