Tuesday was a big day in the life of a Bay student athlete.
One of the Tornadoes volleyball stars this past season, Kilee Hudson, signing a scholarship offer with coach Scott Allen and his Gulf Coast program.
Hudson, a forward with the Tornadoes, with a strong senior season, in 57 sets she posted 177 kills, along with 16 blocks and 99 digs and 30 aces.
As it happens, staying close to home wasn't originally part of the plan, but then something happened on October 10th that helped to change her mind about that.
"I actually didn't want to go to Gulf Coast at first." Kilee told us. "And I actually wanted to leave the state and go out and just have the college experience. But after everything happening in our town and stuff I thought it would just be better to stay at home. And especially with a few of my friends going, it was better for me too."
