TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Florida State football game against Boise State, the season opener for both, is being moved, the move coming out of an abundance of caution in advance of Hurricane Dorian.
The game was scheduled for Saturday night in Jacksonville.
The official word about moving the game coming from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' office Thursday morning. That game being moved from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. The Seminoles now get a home game to open, as opposed to playing in a neutral site.
Jacksonville, as well as the entire east coast of Florida, is currently under a state of emergency declaration in preparation of Hurricane Dorian, which some forecasts are showing could become a Category 4.
