Mosley football team set for game against powerhouse Niceville

LYNN HAVEN, FL (WJHG/WECP) The Mosley football team is done celebrating the big district win over Arnold, and now setting its sights on a big game in Niceville Friday.

The Eagles are 5-1, and remain one of the true 6A powerhouse programs in the state.

The Dolphins are a perfect 6 and oh, and working to earn the moniker of powerhouse themselves.

Mosley coming off the 28-7 win over district and county rival Arnold last week, which left them two and oh in 5A-1 play.

The game with Niceville a non-district affair, but again a real litmus test for a team that's trying to establish itself as a big time player in the region!

"We kind of signed on to play Niceville last year and this because we have a ton of respect for their program, their coaching staff, their kids, they do it the right way." Mosley head coach Jeremy Brown told us Wednesday. "They're probably one of the best high school football teams in the state year in and year out. Their program has stood the test of time. The last 25 years they've been a quality program. They have an unbelievable environment."

That game Friday set for 7, and is one of several we'll feature on Friday Night Overtime.
