Mosley turns away game into bonus home game Friday
The Mosley Dolphins are getting an unexpected home game this week.
The Dolphins are among the area teams looking to remain undefeated here in week two. They opened the season last Thursday night at Tommy Oliver with a convincing 49-0 win over Walton.
This week, the Dolphins were set to get in their first road trip of the regular season, playing at Gadsden, but earlier this week, that game was moved to Bay County, since nobody else was playing at T.O.
"Coach Joey Striplin over at East Gadsden is a good friend of mine." Mosley head coach Jeremy Brown told us Wednesday. "I called him and said 'hey there's no game at Tommy Oliver, you know what I mean. If you guys want to...with all the rain,' and he was like 'coach if we could get over there, that would be great.' And so we worked out some stuff financially to where they wouldn't have to come out with any money to play here, and so we just kind of decided to move it. We've got the new stadium, it's probably the nicest stadium in North Florida so why the heck not play a game there, you know."
That game set for 7:00 at Chapman Field at Tommy Oliver Stadium. It is one of several games we'll feature on Friday Night Overtime.
