Mosley's grinding schedule paying off, says coach Mask

The Mosley volleyball team seems to be picking up steam at the right time of the season, with districts just over a week away!

Mosley coach says grinding type schedule paying off for the Dolphins

The Dolphins beating Niceville on the home floor last night in a tough 3-2 match. That a showcase of high caliber prep volleyball no doubt about it.

And that part of what is for Mosley a brutal schedule. A slate that includes powerhouse teams from Alabama and Tennessee. As well as traditional powers Leon, Crestview, Gulf Breeze, district foes Arnold and Wakulla, and so on.

The team, with last night's win, sitting at 11-9 with four more games left before districts. Coach Mask telling us it's been a tough road for the girls, but they're finally buying into her reasoning for putting them through this type of grind!

"They're mad at me, like why did you do this? Why did you put us through this? And I was like trust me, trust me, I've been doing this for 24 years. Trust me it's a process. And I think that experience has kind of helped us. I'm like hang in there with me, I think finally they're coming around. But I think, there was (some negative feedback) the parents looked at me like I was crazy when they saw my schedule and saw how tough it was, the schools that we were playing. But I'm just like it will do nothing but prepare us. To be the best you've got to play the best and I really feel like we're doing that."

The Dolphins are back at it, on the road at Wakulla Thursday. The team with three matches left after that before heading into the District Tournament.
