Rams set for challenge of taking on Mosley Friday
Friday night will be a chance for the Mosley Dolphins to rack up a third win, and a chance for Rutherford to pull off what would have to be seen as a bit of an upset.
Those two intra-county rivals are set to meet Friday at Chapman Field at Tommy Oliver Stadium,
The Dolphins bringing a 2-0 mark with them, both wins coming on that same field, convincing wins over Walton and Gadsden.
The Rams lost their opener to Bay, but then bounced back with a big win over North Bay Haven, so they are 1-1.
Coach Loren Tillman and his team coming off a bye week, and Tillman knows taking on a Mosley squad that comes in with greater numbers will be a tough task indeed.
"Mosley's big, strong, they're well coached." Coach Tillman told us Thursday. "They've got good special teams. So it's gonna be a challenge for us. And then their offense is very well balanced between a strong, heavy run, and a quality passing game. So it will be a challenge for us. Mosley should be, possibly be one of, if not the best team on our schedule."
Rutherford kept off the practice field Thursday, as yet another heavy shower and lightning hit Springfield in the afternoon.
This game one of several we'll feature on Friday Night Overtime.
