Senior Sports Spotlights: Jenna Adams and Sabrina Whitmire
Our Senior Sports Spotlight continues on the softball diamond.
Jenna Adams, the lone senior on the 2020 Walton Braves, says her experience with the sport is that it's more than a game...it's a family.
"It's part of being something bigger than yourself," Adams explained. "When you're on the field playing, you're not playing for yourself anymore. You're playing for your coaches. You're playing for your friends, your family, and your school. You represent them all. Some of the things that softball taught me has been how to be hard working, selfless, and how to persevere. I could not be the student, the athlete, the or the person I am today without softball. It has given me so many bonds and so many memories and has built so many relationships for me. I will forever be grateful for the experiences I've had because of softball."
Mosley senior Sabrina Whitmire is moving on to play at LB Wallace, but there's a lot she'll cherish right here.
"I miss the girls and the coaches," Whitmire said. "The girls, we built a great bond. It was kind of like an extra family. It was just nice to have everyone around. Then once I stepped on the field, it was like nothing else mattered. It was just a getaway from reality I guess you could say. It was just the different relationships and connections you could make with people and share a passion for."
