Sneads senior signs on with FSU softball
Friday was a big day for a senior student athlete at Sneads High School.
Senior softball player Michaela Edenfield signed a scholarship offer with coach Lonnie Alameda and the Florida State softball program.
She's part of what is considered to be the number one recruiting class in the nation for DI softball programs.
Edenfield is a catcher and first baseman who hit .528 with 10 homers and 45 RBI her junior season, totaling 28 homers so far in her high school career.
"This is a day I've been looking forward to my whole entire life," Edenfield said. "As a little girl I wanted to play Division I ball. I wanted to be on TV and play softball. The fact that I'm going to my hometown college, it's a wonderful feeling."
