Job Summary:
WJHG/WECP is looking for a full time Broadcast/IT Maintenance Technician. Candidate must have
excellent time management skills, and be highly organized. This individual will be responsible for
installing and maintaining video, audio, computer and other equipment associated with
television broadcasting including server-based record and play-out systems, non-linear editors, production
switchers, routing switchers, MPEG encoders, decoders, automation, newsroom computer systems and
broadcast transmission equipment.

General Responsibilities:
-This is a full time position for an individual who works efficiently with little supervision.
-Must be able to work effectively under pressure.
-Must have excellent communication skills and get along well with co-workers.
-Must be able to read, understand and follow electrical and electronic schematic diagrams.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Must be available and respond timely to on-call work status, including weekends, overnights and
possibly holidays.

-A B.S. degree or equivalent in electronics is preferred.
-Helpful but not necessary to have worked at least 2 years in Television/IT industry.
-Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
-Must be available to work a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week.
