Paul Brent Gallery & Panama City Rotary Club Raises Money for Panama City Lighthouse

By  |

A local artist is helping to fund a Panama City lighthouse project.

Paul Brent is selling limited edition prints of a new lighthouse that will be constructed at the marina in Panama City.

Brent is selling the prints for $100. The money will be used to help build the lighthouse.

The Panama City Rotary Club is also seeking donations for the beacon of light project.

Once constructed the new lighthouse is expected to draw a lot of lighthouse seeking enthusiasts.

"They are not commissioning any new lighthouses. This was commissioned by the Coast Guard. So it will be one of those lighthouses which will give all the people who want to see the lighthouse across America a chance to come to Panama City and visit downtown," Brent said.

The Panama City Rotary Club already has two-thirds of the money to build the lighthouse.

No word yet on a start date.
