BAY COUNTY-- Bay District School officials are getting word out about proposed zoning maps. They have plans to rezone hundreds of children in Panama City Beach next year, as they open West Bay Elementary to relieve overcrowding.
Thursday they shared the latest proposed rezoning maps with the public, and are urging everyone to take a look at the plans to see how they could be effected.
Recently school board members voted unanimously to advertise the plans to the public.
Board members say the plan is not final, and they expect to make many changes before it goes to a final vote.
The district will host its first public hearing on rezoning Monday, March 16th, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Arnold High School auditorium.
