The State Fire Marshals Office is now investigating an early morning house fire in St. Andrews.
Panama City fire crews reached the home on Wilmont Ave. around 1:17 a.m. Wednesday. By the time they arrived, crews say the two-story vacant home was already on fire.
Firefighters put the fire out within 30 minutes.
Panama City Fire Department officials added they want to remind you to regularly check your smoke detectors.
Panama City fire crews are investigating a house fire in the St. Andrews neighborhood.
Crews responded to the home near Wilmont Avenue and West 14th Street around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Firefighters say most of the fire was in the rear and the second floor of the home.
Crews say the house itself has been secured, yet unoccupied for the past 10 years.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
