Police responded to what's been labeled an "accidental" shooting this past Sunday, which took the life of a six-year-old girl.

According to Bay County Court records Izabella Votta was the victim.

The record states Evan Hernandez, Izabella's father, was the shooter.

Police say the shooting was accidental and occurred while Hernandez was looking at his gun form in the mirror.

Izabella was taken to Bay Medical Sacred Heart where she later died.

Family and friends of Izabella are grieving the loss of who they call, an "unforgettable" child.

Jenneffer Azcuvy, who's close to the family, says Izabella's family does not have life insurance which is why she created the Go-Fund-Me Page to help with financial issues.

"As a member of this community, as well as she was, we should help out and look out for each other," says Azcuvy. "I mean it takes a village to raise a child and in a time of need we're asking for support."

Azcuvy says in less than 24 hours the page has raised almost $900 to help with Izabell's funeral costs.

The money donated will allow Iszabella's family to provide a celebration of life for a little girl who deserves it.
