A Pensacola police officer shot and killed a teenage boy after authorities say he ran over an officer who was trying to stop him.
Investigators say the officer fired into 17 year old William Goodman's car Tuesday morning after the teen ran over another officer's leg.
Officials say they were trying to stop Goodman after numerous reports he was driving recklessly and speeding.
They claim the teen repeatedly rammed police vehicles after officers boxed in his 2009 Chevrolet Corvette and began trying to arrest him.
The dead teen was scheduled for a court appearance next month on charges from earlier this year.
Prosecutors say he killed a pedestrian in March while illegally passing another vehicle.
