KemperSports Coming In To Manage Bay Point Golf

Panama City Beach, FL---A rather significant change is coming for one of this area's well known golf resorts.

KemperSports, one of the nation's premier golf management companies, announcing Tuesday it is taking over management
of the golf and clubhouse operations at Bay Point Resort in Panama City Beach.

That's home to 36 holes, the 6,900 yard Meadows course, built in 1973, and the 7,000 yard Nicklaus course, which opened in 2005.

Bay Point's been going through some transition with new ownership coming in recently.

That includes a full renovation of the 200-room hotel, spa and expansive conference.The golf courses have remained open through the renovations.

In the KemperSports release Tuesday, Bay Point owner rep. Chris Beavor says the ownership group felt with the renovation going on, it was a good time to partner with a top management company for the long-term health of their two treasured golf courses.

“Bay Point Resort is one of the premier properties in the Southeast,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to working with the ownership through the renovation process and re-establishing Bay Point as a must play.”

Once the hotel and conference center renovation is complete, a full renovation of the 130 golf villa units will commence.

KemperSports manages more than 100 courses worldwide including Chambers Bay outside Seattle, which hosts this years U.S. Open.
