AAA advises drivers to get cars inspected before hitting the road for holiday travel

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - If you're planning on hitting the road this Thanksgiving, AAA wants to make sure you arrive safely.

AAA officials want drivers to get their vehicles inspected and serviced before hitting the road this Thanksgiving.

They say to check tire pressure and tread on all four tires and a spare if you have one.

They also say to listen to and feel the brakes of your car. if there is a grinding or vibration, get your brakes inspected.

AAA also advises drivers to check their battery to make sure the cold weather didn't damage it.

They also say to top off engine oil and other fluids, replace wiper blades if needed, and check any belts and hoses.

If you do run into car trouble, officials say to plan ahead and know where to find a trustworthy auto shop.
