BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Two Bay County beaches have been placed under advisories.

The advisories are issued for the Panama City Beach City Pier and Delwood Beach.

The Health Department issues advisories when levels of enteric bacteria are too high. Enteric bacteria can increase swimmers' risk of gastrointestinal illnesses, upper respiratory infections, skin rashes, and ear infections.

The Health Department says advisories are not related to necrotizing fasciitis, a rare complication.
