PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The holidays are in full swing and the eighth annual Stuff the Bus Toy Drive is getting set to kick off this evening.
The drive kicked off Sunday night. (WJHG/WECP) -
This year the bus is at the 23rd Street Walmart and organizer Skip Bondur said they're looking to get 10,000 toys, 1,000 pairs of shoes, and 10,000 pounds of food.
Bondur will go on top of the bus Sunday night and will not come down for ten days. He said giving back to the kids is the true spirit of the holidays.
"I was raised in this town and I grew up as a kid in this community. I grew up with kids that had plenty and I grew up with kids that didn't have much. So, if a kid from this community can help kids in this community then, I want to be part of it," Bondur said.
The toys will be given to Toys for Tots and then distributed to kids in need. Bondur said you can drop supplies off any time of day until December 18.
