PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Beautifying Bay County is just one goal of the Bay Arts Alliance.

Some of the group's efforts are coming to life at the Panama City Center for the Arts.

The organization flew in San Francisco Artist Cameron Moberg to paint a butterfly mural across the front of the building.

Moberg has been working on the mural since Wednesday.

Officials with Art Alliance tell us the butterflies represent our growth through the hard time our community has recently gone through.

"When Cameron told me about butterflies and why he paints them, and he talked about this metamorphosis into something beautiful, often comes with a lot of pain. So us going through the Hurricane, he thought this would be great to have a butterfly mural here. We agree wholeheartedly," said Executive Director of the Bay Arts Alliance Jayson Kretzer.

Kretzer tells us they have six or seven more murals coming to the area soon.
