But this Giving Tuesday, Bay County Sheriff's Deputies want to make sure you're sending your hard earned money to a good place.
According to Sheriff's officials, the people of Bay County are extremely generous and they don't want anybody taken advantage of.
They say now with the benefit of Google, you can look up the person who will receive the donation.
Another tip if you're donating online, make sure the website has a phone number to call.
"Be very leery of organizations that don't have a phone number and all they have is a mailing address, like a post office box. Be very leery about that. You want to get a hold of the people that are in charge to see whether or not it is real or could it be fictitious," said Paul Vecker with the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office is also accepting donations for Project 25, where it collects thousands of toys to give to local families during Christmas.
