The county and Ernest Watkins Construction have teamed up to rebuild the skate park at Pete Edwards Field in Panama City Beach.
The county bought about $20,000 worth of supplies and Watkins and his volunteers are donating the labor.
On the weekends, they'll be ripping out the old wooden ramps and building new ones.
Watkins says he expects it to take months before it's all finished.
County spokesperson Valerie Sale says they are grateful for Watkins participation and they hope folks will be able to enjoy the park one day soon.
Sale went on to say while county parks remain open, they do encourage social distancing and discourage crowds of 10 or more until the current coronavirus restrictions are lifted.
