PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Fighting childhood cancer is one couples goal, they make sure to ride all the way to the finish line when it comes to beating cancer.

Rich and Colleen Scheid have been riding their bicycles from San Diego.

Friday evening they got into Panama City Beach after biking for nine weeks.

They have self funded their trip and any money that is donated to them throughout their journey goes to the CureSearch organization.

"It's September, that means it's childhood cancer awareness month it's a really big deal right now. We have been working really hard at getting the message out and I think this month is really gonna culminate for us," said Rich Scheid.

They are continuing on to St. Augustine Beach to complete their coast to coast mission.
