WEWAHITCHKA, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The entire city of Wewahitchka has declared a precautionary boil water notice.
According to the city, a water main break happened at Lake Avenue Saturday. As a precaution, all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is the recommended amount of time or bottled water can be used as an alternative.
This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
