Neighbors of the couple on Ralph Hughes Court got them out but weren't able to rescue the more than ten cats.

The woman did go to the hospital as a precaution.

Neighbors also say fire crews immediately got the flames under control, but the cats inside had all died, and crews were still working to recover more. The inside of the house sustained significant smoke and fire damage.

The Fire Marshal says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
