Child's name released in possible drowning case

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - We now know the name of the child who died last week from a possible drowning at the Landmark Condominiums.

Friday Panama City Police said they found Merrick Dillard, 11, next to the pool and attempted life-saving measures.

Police say Dillard was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

They also released this statement:
"The Panama City Police Department offers our deepest condolences to the family of Merrick Dillard as they move forward through this difficult time."
