DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The City of DeFuniak Springs will not cut off water or gas services for late payments in March.

Payments can still be made using a dropbox behind City Hall or can be made with debit/credit card and E-check payments by calling 1-855-414-9015 or by visiting www.defuniaksprings.net and selecting the online bill pay icon. Customers are reminded to include their account number and/or the service address to where the payment should be applied.

City Manager Mell Smigielski said, “We realize the financial burden many of our citizens face due to the COVID-19 crisis. City leaders and staff would like to ease your mind concerning the approaching disconnection date for nonpayment of utility services. If the current bill for your residence has not been paid, it will not be disconnected on March 26, 2020. We strongly encourage you to make your payment as soon as it is feasible for you and your family but know that your services will not be disconnected this month.”
