A crash at the base of the Hathaway Bridge in Bay County caused traffic delays Tuesday. (WJHG/WECP)
Police have arrested Jerome Watts, Jr., 30, and Garrison Warrender, 29, after they ran from the scene of a crash on the Panama City side of the Hathaway Bridge.
Police say Watts and Warrender fled from law enforcement during a traffic stop on Back Beach Road in Panama City Beach. They then drove their vehicle over the Hathaway Bridge where they caused a crash near the No Name Bar.
Police say that Watts and Warrender then ran away from the scene of the crash to the Sun Harbor Condominiums. Police located Watts in the parking lot of the condominiums where he was arrested. Warrender was found in a Sun Harbor resident's condo. They say he took the man's phone and hid inside.
Watts was charged with fleeing and eluding and Warrender was charged with burglary and grand theft.
UPDATE 06/25/2019 2:55 p.m.:
Panama City Police responded to a crash near Sun Harbor Marina.
Police say those in the vehicle that caused the crash fled on foot from the scene. One occupant, Garrison Warrender, was located at a nearby apartment complex.
Police say Warrender burglarized the apartment while fleeing.
Warrender was arrested on a burglary and grand theft charge.

A lunch time crash Tuesday caused some major issues for people trying to commute between Panama City and Panama City Beach.
The crash happened sometime after noon at the base of the Hathaway Bridge on the Panama City side of the bridge. Traffic was majorly delayed in the area, sometimes coming to a complete stop.
Officials from the Bay County Sheriff's Office say two people were taken into custody after the crash.
There is no word on if anyone was injured in the crash, but WJHG/WECP will continue to update this story as we learn more.
