OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHGWECP) - According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, Alex Stewart, 13, of Tennessee, was arrested Saturday in Crestview after stabbing someone in the arm. The incident occurred around 12:37 p.m.

In the arrest report, officials say Alex Stewart "knowingly and with purpose stabbed [another minor] in his arm with a knife."

Upon arrival on scene, they say the victim was badly bleeding. Alex Stewart was in the front seat of a car in the driveway.

Deputies say when Stewart was detained, he freely said "I stabbed him, and I don't care about going back to jail. I'd rather be in jail than 8 hours in the car with him."

The incident report also states that Alex Stewart "had enough" when the victim was picking on him.

After the victim was cleaned up, they say it was discovered he was stabbed three times in the right arm. He was treated at a local hospital.

Stewart has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
