The City of DeFuniak Springs closed City Hall, all city-owned buildings and city-owned parks to the public due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

City officials sent us this statement saying:

“Keeping a safe distance from one another is critical at this time and we want to make sure everyone takes the necessary precautions to stay safe according to guidelines from national, state and local health officials. City services continue as normal, but we now require all citizens to pay bills online, through our payment dropbox, or over the phone. Citizens may also communicate with city staff through email or phone calls,” said City Manager Mell Smigielski.

The press release also said, announcements to any change in city services or events will be provided on the city’s website at DeFuniakSprings.net and on the City of DeFuniak Springs Facebook page. Residents may also call DeFuniak Springs City Hall at 850-892-8500 during normal business hours.
