Deputies search for man suspected in burglaries

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Walton County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a man they believe is connected to multiple "smash and grab" burglaries.

Deputies say Sunday three people reported their vehicle windows were broken by a window punch.

Deputies say the items stolen include a diaper bag with the victim's driver license, a purse that was left on the floorboard of a truck, and another purse. They say one of the purses had a gun and credit cards inside and the other had personal checks, gift cards, and credit cards inside.

Deputies say Monday, a man dressed in a wig and glasses tried to cash one of the victim's checks. They say he gave bank tellers a stolen driver license missing from Panama City. They also say the tag on the vehicle was reported stolen out of Panama City Beach.

If you recognize this man or have any information on this case, contact the Walton County Sheriff's Office at 850-892-8111.
