Dog shot after attacking Panama City police officer and citizens

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Police say an officer shot a dog in Panama City when it began attacking the officer and another person.

Panama City Police say over the last few days they have responded to the 800 block of East 10th Street for aggressive animal complaints. Police say the dog was a large breed and it was acting aggressive.

Police say the dog attacked the officer and another person, forcing the officer to shoot the dog. They say the dog survived and was taken to Bay County Animal Control.
