Early voting, special elections to begin this week

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Election season is upon us once again. While early voting will be kicking off in Bay County, other counties are preparing for special elections.

According to the Bay County Supervisor of Elections website, early voting begins in Bay County Monday, April 8 and ends Friday, April 12.

You can vote early between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following locations:
Robert’s Hall – 831 Florida Avenue, Lynn Haven
Supervisor of Elections Office – 830 W. 11th Street, Panama City

Election Day is Tuesday, April 16. You must vote in the polling location for your city or ward.

According to the Florida Division of Elections website, Currently Scheduled Special Elections include the House District 7 election, which consists of "Calhoun, Franklin, Gulf, Jefferson, Lafayette, part of Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla Counties." The Special Primary Election will be April 9.

The Walton County Supervisor of Elections website says the DeFuniak Springs Municipal Election will also be April 9. You can vote at the DeFuniak Springs Community Center at 361 North 10th St, DeFuniak Springs.
