PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - At Rosenwald High School the Bay County NAACP is honoring some of the area's finest students.

Twelve students were awarded for their hard work at the Fifth Annual Outstanding Student Recognition Program.

This program celebrates youth achievements in academics, athletics, artistic expression, community service, faith-based service and ROTC.

"I think it's important to recognize what students are doing, their achievements, encouraging them to think big, dream big, and move forward in their life in a positive fashion," said the First Vice President of the Bay County Branch of the NAACP, Dinah Crayton.

The middle and high school students were selected by their school leaders.
