Firefighters battle blaze in Lynn Haven

LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - ***UPDATE***

Crews battle fire in Lynn Haven Thursday afternoon. (WJHG/WECP)

Officials with the Florida Forest Service say the blaze is about 90% contained. They say the fire started from a homeless camp.

Crews are continuing to work the fire.

Officials with the Florida Forest Service say the blaze is 75% contained.
They believe the fire was caused by a pile burn, but that is still under investigation.

Earlier Thursday evening the fire expanded more than 12 acres. Officials warn drivers to be careful in that area Thursday. As there is still heavy smoke throughout the area.
The Florida Forest Service said crews will be back in the Friday morning.

Crews continue to fight a fire in Lynn Haven Thursday night.

Emergency calls started coming in around 2:30 p.m.

Officials at the scene tell us the fire is currently 10 acres and only 40 percent contained.

Crews have blocked off Mosley Drive between County Road 389 and 34th Place while fighting the blaze.

Florida Forest Service, Bay County Fire, Lynn Haven Fire, and others are on scene.
