PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A new cannabis physician's office in Panama City is getting ready to open its doors April 15.
The Kaya Life is located in Santa Rosa Beach and Panama City and provides patients with a medical marijuana physician certification, the first step in obtaining medical marijuana to treat chronic pain and illnesses.
They are temporarily located at Emerald Bay Surgical Associates on Ruth Hentz Avenue but plan on finding a permanent office in the future.
The Kaya Life works to educate the community on medical cannabis and the benefits of it.
Dr. Stephanie Johnson, a physician at The Kaya Life, said, "There are many patients in our community that are suffering from chronic conditions that have symptoms that are not alleviated with standard medical therapies. We have patients that come into our office that start their treatment, we watch their lives being transformed."
