BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Starting next week, the Florida Department of Health in Bay County will be going door-to-door.
Volunteers or workers will be knocking on doors asking questions pertaining to physical and mental health.
Everyone participating has been background checked and will have an identification badge to show they're with the FDOH. The Department of Health in Bay County says they're doing these to see how everyone is doing a year after Hurricane Michael.
Heather Kretzer, the Public Information Officer for the Florida Department of Health in Bay County, said, "What we want to do is get a broad, overview picture of what the health status is in Bay County, so we can take that information and see what the health needs are and see what we can do as a department to address those needs that we have here in Bay County."
The surveys will begin Tuesday, October 22 and go until Thursday, October 24 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
They will be selecting random households from previous census data. The survey is optional but they ask that you participate because it will benefit everyone in Bay County.
