WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to Florida Highway Patrol, four people, including a child and infant, were injured in a hit-and-run crash in Walton County over the weekend.
Troopers said the incident happened at Girl Scout Road and Cypress Avenue.
They said a 2008 Ford F-150 was driving east on Cypress Avenue approaching Girl Scout Road.
A car with two adults, a five-old, and an infant inside was reportedly heading south on Girl Scout Road, approaching Cypress Avenue.
According to FHP, the driver of the F-150 attempted to make a left turn onto Cypress Avenue from Girl Scout Road, but failed to yield to the right of way of the second car.
The front of the F-150 reportedly collided with the front passenger side corner of the car.
Troopers said the driver of the F-150 fled the scene on foot.
The driver and the five-year-old in the second vehicle are said to have serious injuries. The adult passenger and infant reportedly have minor injuries.
FHP said all were taken to area hospitals.
