TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WJHG/WECP) - Governor Rick Scott signed an Executive Order Wednesday he hopes will strengthen sexual harassment protections for state employees.
Executive Order 17-319 offers all new state employees sexual harassment training within 30 days of being hired. The order also implements uniform practices across all state agencies when it comes to reporting and investigating sexual harassment claims.
In June, Governor Scott also signed into law new protections for victims to encourage them to report instances of harassment.
