OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Fort Walton Beach woman is facing charges after deputies say she was driving intoxicated with children in the car.

Okaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Teirra Whitfield, 30, Saturday night. They say she had been seen swerving her vehicle near North Beal Parkway and Carmel Drive. The deputy who made the stop reported Whitfield had glassy eyes, slurred speech, and smelled like alcohol.

Whitfield reportedly told the deputy she had two shots. They say she was unable to perform the standard field sobriety test.

Whitfield was charged with DUI. They say her blood alcohol level breath samples came back .327 and .315 respectively, when the legal limit for driving under the influence is .08.

Deputies say three children, all under the age of 12, were in the car with Whitfield at the time of the incident. She was charged with three counts of child neglect.
