Good Friday morning everyone and TGIF!
It's a slightly active morning on radar with a few showers moving in along a cold front. They'll move in from west to east over the Panhandle this morning and will be fairly brief and light in nature. We'll keep these small scattered brief showers in the forecast for the morning with an overall cooler day expected.
Otherwise, it's a mild start with many of us starting out in the 60s. However, out ahead of this front, dew points are in the 60s as well and we're looking at some thick fog east of HWY231.
The cold front will be passing through this morning other than the stray shower, cooler air will gradually filter into the Panhandle throughout the day. Many of us will see stagnant temperatures throughout the day in the low to mid 60s. The breezy northwest cooler wind that settles in behind the front may even drop some temperatures inland into the 50s this afternoon. So while it's mild this morning out the door, the cooler northerly breeze may require a light jacket throughout the day.
Otherwise, we'll get to see some sunshine mix into the skies with the clouds. Once this cold front settles to the south we won't have much of a rain chance left heading into the weekend with a more seasonal feel ahead. We'll get a mix of sun and clouds for both Saturday and Sunday. The breezy northerly wind continues to keep temperatures in the low 60s for Saturday, but we'll quickly see a rebound in temperatures heading into Sunday in the upper 60s.
The chilliest part of the weekend will be the morning temperatures as we'll start largely in the 40s both days.
For today, mostly cloudy skies with a stray, brief, morning shower possible. Highs today maintain the low to mid 60s for most. Your 7 Day Forecast shows a beautiful and seasonal weekend setting up with chilly mornings in the 40s and highs in the 60s.
