Good Friday morning everyone!
Meteorologist Ryan Michaels showing our weather headlines for this weekend.
It's a quiet start on radar this morning with clear skies over head once again. We'll be off to a beautiful sunny start and once again have a wonderful feel out the door.
Temperatures are largely in the 60s to start the day with a few 70s on the coast. But a nice easterly breeze continues to keep us feeling less humid. We'll get to enjoy that less humid feel through much of the day today and into tomorrow before southerly winds begin to pump back in some humidity at the end of the weekend. Meanwhile, it'll still get warm in the afternoons with highs topping out in the upper 80s near 90 degrees today and into the upcoming weekend.
High pressure will slowly slide south and east through the Southeast US keeping our skies pretty quiet and sunny today and tomorrow. Unfortunately this ridge will also stop up a cold front from moving through the Panhandle over the upcoming weekend. We'll come tantalizingly close to seeing some cooler temperatures move in, in fact, Mississippi and Alabama will get a nice taste of below average temperatures with highs only in the 60s on Saturday! However, it will not pass through the Panhandle so we'll still deal with highs in the upper 80s.
We may get just a little shot at a stray afternoon shower with that front stalled out to the west. Just don't expect any rain to be drought busting if you happen to be the 10-20% who catch the stray shower inland over the weekend.
Next week holds hopes for a cold front to move through which is looking like we'll actually see temperatures drop into the low 80s...maybe even upper 70s!
For today, abundant sunshine with highs in the upper 80s near 90 degrees but feeling less humid so a more tolerable heat. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running warmer than average through the weekend with little to no rain expected.
