Head of "Money Mafia" to serve 30 years in prison

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The head of the "Money Mafia" has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Marvin Wilkins entered a plea to second-degree murder, racketeering, and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Between August 2014 and July 3015, Wilkins sold cannabis, committed batteries and assaults, and tampered with evidence.

Wilkins believed there was a mole in his group and sent three men to pick up Mark Williams, telling them to bring him to a hotel on Okaloosa Island then "but if you can't, do what you have to do."

Williams was shot and killed.

As part of his plea, Wilkins was to be sentenced between 30 and 45 years
