Inmate sentenced to 28 years for aggravated battery on a correctional officer

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - An inmate at the Bay County Jail was sentenced to 28 years for aggravated battery on a correctional officer.

Evidence proved that Bryan Broxton violently resisted being restrained at the Bay County Jail by pulling away from Cpl. William Stoudt and threw him over his shoulder, driving him into the concrete floor.

Stoudt received a severe concussion and permanent neck injuries causing a permanent disability.
