The discussion to add a second solar farm to Jackson County was tabled Tuesday until June 18th, at the next commission meeting. Jackson County officials say they wanted to make sure the language was right before discussing it further.

The first solar farm was approved in December to try and lower costs for Marianna’s wastewater treatment plant. It’s located off of Davey Street in Marianna.

Officials say it’s estimated the farm will save the city around $200,000 annually.
