Jackson County woman arrested for striking mother

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Jackson County woman has been arrested for reportedly striking her mother.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, a deputy with the Uniform Patrol Division of the JCSO responded to a physical disturbance on Sale Ln. near Marianna around 6:32 Saturday night.

They say after conducting an investigation, the deputy learned that Brandy Nichole Tyus, 26, struck her mother three times with a closed fist causing minor injuries.

Deputies say Tyus was placed under arrest for battery domestic violence and is awaiting first appearing in the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
