PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Local middle school students got their hands dirty to help their school look good on Florida's Arbor Day.
At Jinks Middle School, students planted a live oak tree. They say it will give kids some shade in the courtyard where they play throughout the day.
This tree was one of many planted Friday from donations from ReTreePC. Trees were also planted at Lucille Moore Elementary School, Cherry Street Elementary School, Bay High School, Al Helms Dog Park, and Harvey Dee Mathis Park.
Panama City leaders say through ReTreePC they will plant a tree at all of the schools in the city over the next month.
