The organization held a party at Lorrie Morgan's Spicy Hot Chicken Coop to celebrate.

Members said they affiliated with Keep America Beautiful because it's so important to be a part of something bigger.

Members took the time at their party to look back at everything they've accomplished in the last year.

"2019 was an awesome year. We didn't really realize the impact until we went back and looked at our numbers. We looked at things, like almost 10,000 pounds of trash picked up, and over 40 pounds of cigarette butts kept from the gulf. It's a little overwhelming, but so exciting what we've been able to do with the help of volunteers and local businesses," said Kim Christian with Keep PCB Beautiful.

Members said they chose Lorrie Morgan's because it's one of the only eco-friendly restaurants in Panama City Beach.

"We feel like we've made at least a little niche, where hopefully other restaurants and businesses will follow our lead because we do care about our oceans and when they're gone, they're gone," said Lorrie Morgan, the owner of Lorrie Morgan's Spicy Hot Chicken Coop.

All proceeds from the celebration will go back to the organization so members can do more this year, like continue to educate the community.
